Benjamin Franklin School:
Preservation Today

In 2015, Mayor Bowser cancelled proposals for the Institute of Contemporary Art, but his predecessor approved it. This resulted in proposals still waiting to be considered. 

​

In 2017, Ann B. Friedman took over the location and established the Planet Word Museum. 

​

The preservation of the school continues under the name of this museum.
