From June 2000...the National Park Seminary, an exclusive finishing school for girls, grew from of a vacation hotel that was built in the late 1800s. The finishing school thrived until World War I, when the army took it over for the war effort. Since this segment was completed, the Seminary has been transformed into a housing development.
