LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS

The following locations are particularly interesting and deserve to be highlighted for their historical importance and/or their unique preservation today.

Today, the hospital lays in limbo. Half of it still remains in the hands of the government, while the other half lays in decay. There have been attempts to destroy the abandoned campus.

National Park Seminary, Villa, Northwest corner of campus, near Capitol Beltway (I-495), S

In 1936, the school was renamed to the "National Park College" to mirror the change in education. It was one of the nation's most prestigious girl's school.

Franklin School in Washington, D.C..jpg

Between 1862 and 1875, Washington D.C. was establishing a universal education system. Franklin School was amongst those created in that time slot.

Forced by the then-elite Logan Circle, the National Colored Home sought to create a place to move patients into. The result was 80 years of abuse, pain, and suffering that still plagues court cases to this day.
