St. Elizabeth's Hospital:
Preservation Today

The future of St. Elizabeth's Hospital laid in turmoil for several decades. It was split with the East Campus abandoned and the West Campus used by Homeland Security, the Coast Guard, and others. In spring of 2022, the ribbon was cut to allow East Campus to be turned into new homes by the company DistrictTowns for affordable housing.  Below details the preservation efforts and the on-going conversation of what to do with this historic building.
